Overview

This 2 Years contractor role has responsibility to work with the Packaging Manager on projects assigned to them in SSA market. This role will work in Foods Packaging development across Productivity & Sustainability initiatives, will support in validating & creating specfications to procure, produce, and ship Snacks and Foods products for manager review for approval and manage low / Medium complexity packaging development activities in guidance with the manager.  The associate will work closely with packaging teams, suppliers, manufacturing facilities to test and commercialize packaging components where assigned.

  • VE Wheat Packaging
  • New supplier qualifications
  • EPR implementation

Responsibilities

  • Execute packaging projects for the Essentials Category
  • Execute packaging major projects under Productivity & Sustainability agenda and build future pipeline along with manager
  • Prepare SOPs and Design of Experiments for quality execution of projects in guidance with the package manager as per pepsiCo requirements
  • Ensure compliance to TSG, SFTS processes , Documentation
  • Influence stakeholders – GP, Operations, Quality Control  for achieving results
  • Create and maintain unambiguous packaging specifications that are compliant with PepsiCo R&D best practices.

Qualifications

  • Sc, B.Eng. degree in material, chemical or pacakging related field
  • 3 – 5 year in a Technical or R&D role within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal, Influencing and communication skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and new design implementation.
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
  • Good understanding of R&D and product development disciplines, as well as regulatory requirements is desireable. Fluent in English and Computer Skills. MS:Word, Ms Excel
