Roedean School (SA) is an independent school situated in Parktown, Johannesburg seeking to appoint a Robotics Teacher for the Senior School, with effect from January 2023.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic person of integrity and vision with strong interpersonal skills, and have:
experience teaching Robotics, Coding and Technology in the Senior School (Grade 8 – 11);
experience of the IEB curriculum;
the commitment to promote a very high standard of teaching and learning;
the ability to make innovative decisions whilst keeping abreast of educational innovations in South Africa and globally;
an excellent level of spoken and written English.
an ability to develop and sustain new ideas and work with a team of teachers, reporting to a Head of Department;
the ability of developing creative new material and collaborating with colleagues in the planning and assessment processes;
the ability to understand, identify and contribute to the Christian ethos and values of the school;
the requisite academic and professional qualifications and a SACE Registration Certificate.

have proof of clearance against the Sexual Offender’s and Child Protection Registry – this is required for any staff member working in a school environment.
Responsibilities:
assist staff and students with IT related queries and source teaching materials for teachers; and
provide academic support to students within the department (extra lessons and tutorials).
