Trade Creditors Supervisor

ROLE OVERVIEW

The main purpose of this role is to manage the Accounts Payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, manage the trade creditors accounts and ensure payments are made on time to ensure reconciliation is done in a timely manner.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Creditors/Finance:

Administer account reconciliations as well as age analysis reconciliations.
Prepare monthly reports.
Conduct payment reconciliations.
Process payments, invoices and claims.
Resolve issues related to Trade Suppliers (accounts/payments/claims) and Store Receiving.
Process and create applications for new vendor accounts.
Rebate processing.
Conduct year-end audit reconciliations.
Provide monthly provisions of invoices not yet processed.
Post provision journals
Assist with monthly VAT info for submissions.
Assist with capturing of invoices where needed.
Liaise with the Systems Manager on system integration issues.
Upload Batch import file of Supplier payments on Standard Bank Business Online.
Assist with monthly shrinkage, verifying stock pricing and quantity difference.
Create Suppliers Invoice Import file

Team Effectiveness:
Supervise a team of Creditors Clerks, delegating workflow and monitoring outputs.
Ensure daily, weekly/monthly targets are met.
Ensure the team is adequately trained and up-skilled to perform optimally.

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 with a Bookkeeping/Accounting qualification.
5-8 years of Creditors experience.
Minimum 2 years experience supervising a team of 4 or more.
Sage knowledge and experience are highly advantageous.
Advanced Excel skills.
