Requirements :
Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent (ABET level 2 certificate). proven experience in a Factory or hospital laundry environment will an added advantage. Ability to do physical labour, Must be physically and mentally fit, ability to liaise with all stakeholders. Knowledge of government policies. Competencies:. Must be able to read, write and Team player. Should have good interpersonal skills. The ability to count (Basic arithmetic).. Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety, Infection prevention and control.. Willing to work shifts, weekend public holiday and at night. Be able to work in a team and under pressure. Skills: Communication skills, interpersonal relation skills, time management and strong customer services
Duties :
Sorting, counting and recording of Linen. (Clean and soiled) Off-loading of trucks (soiled linen) and loading of clean linen. Counting bags for clean and soiled linen. Preparation of linen for ironing department. Iron, fold, count and record dirty linen. Prepare to work shifts. Willingness to work more hours and to go extra mile when need arises. Adhere to guidelines and prescripts that guides laundry services. Clean laundry area and operate various machines in the laundry.Take any other lawful instruction from the Supervisor. Cope with physical demands of the work individually or in a team.
