- Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment that complies with current health and safety legislation for all Barloworld Equipment employees.
- Ensuring all Barloworld Equipment employees in your area of responsibility fully understand the requirements of existing health and safety legislation.
- Investigating and reporting on all work-related injuries and vehicle road accidents.
- Assist in HIRA, SOP, PTO, etc. development.
- Audit relevant Barloworld Equipment sections and prepare the Willis Blue, ISO 9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001.
- Maintain / control contamination standards for area of responsibility.
- Conduct regular on-site appraisals of premises and housekeeping, electrical, mechanical and personal safeguards, fire protection and security standards.
- Feedback on performance of SHEQ management system to SHEQ Manager.
- Recommend corrective action for non-conformances identified during internal audits/ inspections and
- verify implementation.
- Participate in internal and external SHEQ Audits (Internal auditor).
- Attend site SHERQ-related meetings.
- Do general administration functions and ensure record keeping is up to standard
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Grade 12 with a technical background.
- At least 2 years’ experience in health and safety management.
- National Diploma in SHEQ Management or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and occupational health and safety requirements
- SAMTRAC, COMSOC 1, COMSOC 2 Certification or equivalent certification
- Computer literate (Sound knowledge of MS office).
- Driver’s Licence – Code B.
