Requirements
- A relevant National Diploma or higher or N6 plus additional two (2)
years’ post-qualification experience or a three-year
Telecommunication Electrician type (example – P&T Trade test)
qualification plus additional two (2) years’ post-qualification
experience - A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant industry experience in a
Telecommunications Operations Centre (TOC) functional area - Knowledge of Telecommunication Network and Infrastructure
(Fibre, BMS, Radio, etc.) monitoring systems would be an advantage - Must be willing to work shifts.
Key Performance Areas - Provide technical leadership within the Telecoms Operations Centre
(TOC) functional area - Lead incident management and coordination to ensure effective
resolution of faults - Liaise with relevant stakeholders to confirm updates
- Manage the process of monitoring the Telecoms broadband
Infrastructure network (Fibre, BMS, Radio, Network, etc.); respond to
alarms received on fault monitoring system; perform first line checks;
liaise with relevant stakeholders if required - Supervise and coordinate team activities to ensure objectives are
achieved - Lead small project teams within the TOC desk environment to
submit required information in the prescribed format to the bigger
project team involved on a project - Supervise and coordinate team activities to ensure objectives are
achieved.
