Junior Operations Manager

This leading South African Property Owner, Developer and Management company is looking for a Junior Operations person to join their rapidly growing team. 

  • Our client is an industry leader focused on the growing market demand for premium rental apartments within secure lifestyle estates in the South African community.
  • With an extensive portfolio of both commercial and residential properties, the right candidate will manage the operations for a unique, shared residential apartment in the upmarket suburbs of Johannesburg.
  • Each estate has a dedicated on-site Management & Maintenance team to ensure residents receive the best care, quality and value for money.

Attention to detail is critical to taking extraordinary care of these unique South African residential communities.

  • Whilst this position is based on-site, you will report directly to the Property Owners and the Properties Management team.
  • Full responsibility for all Operational matters relating to the Residential Property portfolio under your direct care.
  • Day to day liaison with tenants, service providers, contractors and property owners.
  • Building maintenance both planned and ad-hoc as well as emergency & day to day problem solving.
  • Ensure legal compliance, OSH act & SLA agreements as well as adhere to the companies’ strict policies & procedures.
  • Management of estate cleaning, security, gardening, waste management, handyman and contractors.

We are looking for a customer facing, technically skilled Operations Manager with a proven track record in a Residential environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and attention to detail. Your work-flow will include monthly Management reports covering maintenance, costs, recoverable charges, tenant accounts, and building inspection reports.
  • Computer literate with experience on a maintenance ticketing system and MDA.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills – ability to prioritise work-flow, schedules & maintenance coordinate with a sense of urgency and resolution. You will need to think on your feet and make decisions with a
  • Professional interaction with tenants/residents, as well as liaise with the on-site staff and contractors. Head Office engagement and communication is essential.
