| ACADEMIC POSITIONS AT THE WITS BUSINESS SCHOOL The Wits Business School (WBS) is internationally recognised and accredited. It has spearheaded innovation, teaching, and research excellence in South African and African business for over 50 years. The school is based in the economic hub of South Africa and enjoys a prominent role within the University of Witwatersrand. Our full-time faculty come from 13 different countries; 98 percent of whom are PhD qualified with active research profiles. The school has approximately 3100 postgraduate students with around 1500 new intakes each year. In addition, the school runs executive education courses for around 1500 delegates each year. The school is at the centre of regular media events and topical debates showcasing leadership opinions from business, policymakers, and academia. | Brief Description | ||
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN BUSINESS STRATEGY (1 POSITION) This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the development and teaching of business strategy across a variety of post-graduate programmes in the school. In addition, s/he will be expected to supervise at the master’s and PhD level; undertake research and participate in leadership dialogues on business strategy. Requirements: Applicants for the position must have a Doctorate Degree in Mangement or related field. For the Associate Professor position, the candidate must have a strong research profile on business strategy with evidence of accredited publications; a proven track record of effective teaching at the postgraduate level; and evidence of successful postgraduate supervision (graduating PhD and Masters students). Experience in the online teaching environment will be an advantage. | ||
