Our client, a multi-brand food group, is seeking to employ a Junior Accountant to join their team. The Junior Accountant will be based at Head Office, Canal Walk and will have to travel to Constantia as of next year. The position reports to the Senior Accountant or Financial Manager.
KEY ROLE
The key role of the Junior Accountant is to compile and maintain accounting records. Essential duties include Supplier Function, Cashbook function, Stock, Debtors function, amongst other duties. (Visit the apply link for the detailed job description).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification & Experience:
We are looking for an individual with a BCOMM or similar Degree, Experience of creditors processing (minimum 3 years), Experience of debtors and cashbook processing (minimum 3 years), Basic accounting knowledge (recognising valid tax invoices and credit notes, journals, payment terms, calculations skills), Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Pastel Partner experience.
Key skills include strong language skills, mathematical skills, reasoning ability and computer skills which includes Accounting software, internet software, Payroll systems, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
START DATE: 1 November 2022
REMUNERATION: R23 000 – R26 000 CTC – Based on experience
