Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (or equivalent). Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as Social Worker (Applications are expected to submit copy of their current Annual Certificate). Applicant must be in possession of valid driver’s license. Computer literate.

Duties :

Manage the licensing of Mental Health Residential and Day Care Facilities in accordance with current legislations and guidelines. Ensure that quality mental health services are provided at the NGOs according to regulated norms, standards and ethical principles. Regularly monitoring and evaluate compliance with these guidelines through monthly visits and quarterly audits. Provide ongoing supervision, training and support to all levels of personnel in these facilities. Increase capacity of residential and day care facilities, community-based rehabilitation programmes (NGOs, consumer organisations and the community at large) to provide appropriate self-help and peer led services for services for users and their families. Engage with WBOT program and other Health outreach services including other stakeholders in the communities (training and support) to integrate mental health services into their service delivery objectives. Establish, maintain and participate in inter-sectorial and multi-disciplinary forum that promotes a seamless delivery of efficient and efficient and effective mental health care. Utilize information technology and other management information system to manage mental health information for the enhancement of service delivery and writing of reports. Support mental related research and development in NGOs.
