Our client is an upmarket Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar; located in the heart of Cape Town and offers a high-energy glamour and classic charm, with just a touch of folie to the Cape Town social scene. Re-creating the atmosphere of the 1960’s Riviera. We are seeking an experienced HEAD CHEF to join this vibrant team.
The key functions for the Head Chef will be to oversee and manage the overall Kitchen operations, menu engineering, costings, waste management, recipes and inventory, staff management & development.
The ideal individual for the Head Chef position is highly self-motivated, someone with a strong background relating to Mediterranean Cuisine with exceptional culinary skills, passionate about food, experienced in managing the kitchen operations in a high-end and fast paced environment, quality driven, a leader, stable and able to perform under pressure.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• A formal Culinary Education
• Minimum of 3 years‘ experience as a Head Chef, leading a highly motivated kitchen team, with a love for cooking
• Stable and solid track record
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
REMUNERATION
R25 000 – R30 000 (dependant on experience and qualification)
