Managed People Solutions is Looking to hire an Experience Manager for a well-known liquor company based in Stellenbosch.

JOB PURPOSE

The Experience Manager is responsible for managing the entire brand home including the actual venue, calendar of classes and experiences, marketing and sales of activities, general operations, general hospitality, and quality of sponsor, student, client, and consumer experience. Community relationships is also an important part of this role. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop, and evaluate the experience sales strategy in alignment with overall strategic business objectives and targets, ongoing.
  • Apply effective tactical planning and develop tailored initiatives to meet sales targets
  • Establish detailed target market segmentation by sponsors, industry members, tourists, students, private consumers, and the Stellenbosch community and develop corresponding strategic action plans for each division.
  • Continuous mapping of classes, tastings, talks, and collaborative experiences.
  • Always ensure the maintenance and good order of the venue including health and safety protocols, ongoing.
  • Ensure that daily rosters and events are effectively implemented from start to finish.
  • Develop pricing per event in line with the costing strategy to ensure margin health.
  • Development of annual budget for planning and forecasting purposes in collaboration with the Principal.
  • Ensuring that a detailed marketing plan is developed with the Marketing Manager for effective exposure, brand building, and demand creation.
  • Effective Management of all relevant incoming and acquired data, ensuring that relevant insights and learnings are drawn and put into action plans.
  • Continually advancing opportunities to increase efficiencies and speed up / streamline processes.
  • Continuously advance wine and industry general knowledge keeping up to date with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional / industry publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Ensure that the company conducts all activities both lawfully and ethically, ongoing.
  • Develop and review all SOPs, to ensure required SOPs are completed, up-to-date, relevant, and trained within the department and adhered to.
  • Daily and weekly tracking of current sales vs. targeted sales.
  • Ensure appropriate management is implemented relating to all company-owned assets, including maintaining asset registers.
  • Ensure that the right wines are timeously and sufficiently sourced and allocated to each course, ongoing.
  • Negotiate and manage all agreements including but not limited to Confidentiality Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, and License Agreements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • Tertiary Education: Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing or Hospitality Management.
  • CWA Certificate Wine Course
  • CWA Diploma Wine Course (Beneficial)
  • 3 years of Hospitality Management or
  • 3 years of General Management
  • Wine estate tasting and hospitality experience (Beneficial)
