In this role you will…
- Perform task as delegated to him by his superior
- Assist in the identifying and closure of gaps as identified by relevant GES’s, TP13 and other audits
- Perform RCA’s as outline by the maintenance RCA process for equipment that does not meet failure rate targets
- Initiate improvement projects that will either reduce costs, increase production output or reduce waste
- Comply with all engineering standards
- Assist in the control of expenditure in the department
- Role will be working rotational shifts
- Be available for 24-hour standby and responds to callouts on rotational bases when necessary
- Be contactable during after hours for business related calls
- Be available to work overtime when requested by your superior
- Support EHS department with compliance risks when needed
- Comply with all EHS standards and guidelines
- Ensures that equipment repairs are done cost effectively in the shortest possible time to minimize downtime
- Attends to breakdowns on equipment when requested to
- Replaces or repairs old, worn, and dangerous parts and apparatus that possess safety or quality risk
- Participates in OE projects
- Identifies opportunities for ongoing improvements
- Ensures that OE improvements are integrated into the Value Stream equipment
- Ensures equipment is maintained according to planned maintenance system requirements
- Attends training on QMS SOP and complies with all QMS standards and guidelines
- Assist the validation department with design reviews, installation, and commissioning of equipment
Basic Qualifications/Experience:
- N3 – N6 trade tested Mechanical orientated artisan with Matric
- Fitting and Turning/Fitting Trade
- Three (3) Years of working experience in FMCG Environment
- Basic Electrical understanding
