Requirements
- National Diploma: Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Class 2 meter worker at a minimum.
- Code B or EB driving license.
Knowledge of: - Transaction systems such as SAP.
Special Conditions: - Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be prepared to enter confined areas.
- Will be required to undertake physical installation of meters on a
wide variety of sites.
Key Performance Areas - Plan, install and maintain meter (AMI) installations in municipal
owned buildings in accordance with required standards. - Communicating with the supervisor in order to determine the work
outputs. - Interpreting specifications from work orders, plans, and drawings.
- Creating, reacting, re-direct, and close of notifications allocated
to the assignment work center. - Creating, executing, tracking, and completing assigned tasks via
work order system. - Assessing the risks on site and completing required safety
documentation and site-specific procedures prior to and during
the execution of duties on site. - Monitoring the activities of construction staff, contractors and
peers and ensuring compliance to safety and quality systems. - Ensuring the correct installation of metering and equipment and
the commissioning thereof. - Fault finding at all levels on metering, measurement and related
equipment. - Monitor the resource data meter fleet and track faulty readings
reporting them to the Manager. - Interpret and report faults and failures to Stakeholders
- Preparing investigation reports and maintenance programs.
