Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members; providing highly experienced and efficient clinical services and psychological support to participants, their families and supervising assigned team members whilst adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.
Technical Work Responsibilities
Provide and supervise comprehensive, safe and effective evidence based clinical procedures to achieve identified health outcomes
Manage all activities required for the implementation of the COVID test-and-treat project
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the South African Nursing Council and the Health Professions Council of South Africa
Enforce the rights of all participants and maintain cultural sensitivity
Plan, evaluate and manage clinical procedures in consultation with the multidisciplinary team
Provide comprehensive reports and recommendations on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of processes
Duties
Liaise with all Stakeholders when necessary towards the achievement of Organizational and Departmental Goals
Conduct Clinic meetings with Staff
Coordinating communication within a Project, and liaising between Head Office, Sponsors and Clinical Research Sites
Address concerns regarding individual management areas with the Heads of Health and other relevant Role Players
Support the M & E Specialist and Grants Manager in tracking Partner/Sub-Grantee/Consultant deliverables
Assist Technical Staff to implement and monitor activities; and provide other needed operational support
Work closely with the Programme Manager and other key Technical Staff in supporting HRH Learning Platforms
Coordinate and support planning, development, and implementation of Project Communications Strategy
Provide on-site communication support as required
Organize and supports communication strategies, messages and materials for Project trainings, Conferences, Workshops and Meetings
Gather, track, synthesize, and disseminate new business opportunities in the Public and Private Sectors related to PEPFAR and relevant Donors, Foundations, Corporations, and other bilateral and multi-lateral Donors
Communicate Project support needs and requests to senior management and clientele, provides administrative support where applicable
Programme Start Up
Monitoring Sites:
Documenting, reporting, supervision and supporting of Staff assigned to the Project
Responsible for quality service provision and reporting by the Teams
Responsible for quality control for CRFs completed by study team assigned to those Clinics
Assist in Study Tools development
Assist in standard operating procedures development
Tracking and monitoring all activities within the Project
Designing Tracking Databases, collating and analysing Tracking Data
Communicating with the study team about data quality
Produce consolidated Site Reports showing the vaccinations daily/weekly and monthly
Project preparation
Recruitment and demand creation for vaccinations
Identifying potential problems or challenges within a Project and suggesting corrective action
Establishing partnership and networking
Maintain Contracts and communication with Subcontracting Companies
Supervise project implementation with support of health staff showcasing innovative strategies within implementation
Ensure adequate documentation of all project generated data at all sites and levels
Submit technical reports on project implementation to project Team to enable compilation of donor and stakeholder reports
Attend meetings of health systems to provide technical assistance and support to country public health delivery
Provide technical assistance and support across the Project activities
Provide specific support to Project activities
Coordinate the administrative, logistical, and technical support for the smooth and efficient operation of the Program
Align activities (under the lead of the M & E Specialist) with the NDoH portion of the M&E Plan
Ensure the Team’s administrative challenges are attended to
Ensure that the Teams comply with the Company Policies and SOPs
Ensure that the Sites generate quality Data Reports
Adhere to data collection and recordkeeping
Ensure maintenance of Facility Equipment
Ensure that the Team Members are familiar with their targets
Preparing Sites for audits
Ensure maintenance of Facility Equipment
Coordinate meetings agendas, minute taking and set up for the Operational Committee
Timesheets/clock-in/out system
Identify and address staff issues between the Clinic Staff
Facilitate Staff training as required
Keep record of Staff leave and follow up on sick notes
Adheres to all management SOPs, guidelines and confidential agreements
Mentoring and coaching of Subordinates
Supervision of Subordinates by providing guidance and in-service training to identify and address all challenges
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Support the Programme Team in technical planning, work plan development, information sharing and collection, and the preparation of Reports, Presentations, and other Program Materials
Provide overall leadership for the design and implementation of activities aligned with HRH Strategy
Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources
Requirements
Education
Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing Degree
Registration with the South African Nursing Council
Dispensing licence
Advantageous
Advanced diploma in Primary Health Care
Good Clinical Practice Certificate
COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for Healthcare workers
Experience
Minimum 4 years’ related experience and training
Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical or public health research
Extensive counselling experience
Requirements
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
Overnight Travel when required
