Requirements :
Matric/grade 12 Certificate with least five years relevant experience in Health Promotion. Degree/Diploma in Health Promotion or equivalent qualification with 3 years’ experience in Health Promotion. A Valid Driver’s License. Experience working with communities and/or local organisations/forums on awareness raising, prevention programmes, mobilisation and/or community strengthening and be Familiar with a community-based approach. Fluency in local languages. Adaptable and able to work in a multicultural/disciplinary team
Duties :
Coordinate activities on different topics in support of the medical activities; this might include promoting medical services, hygiene promotion, information on subjects linked to maternal health, malnutrition, malaria, HIV/AIDS/TB and ORT. Define and update the HP strategic plans and related activities through an annual project and budget plan (objectives, target population, campaigns, messages, activities, etc.) Analyse and understand local behaviour and/or practices to adapt health activities to the target group (support social mapping, use of specific tools to measure and follow-up activities). Promote District Health services according to principles protocols and standards with the aim of increasing the knowledge of the target population in relation to their health access. Adapt IEC materials according to the needs of the District. Liaise with other relevant stakeholders to enhance HP interventions in the sub district. Manage, train and supervise the HP team in the Sub District through activities such as recruitment, defining job descriptions, capacity building, briefing/debriefing and evaluation of HP team Members. Lead implementation of HPS, ISHP, HECI,IMCI CC. Contribute to and support WBOPHCT. Contribute/compile/Submit reports and other administrative work according to guidelines.
